No, Sorbet will not contact your employer to discuss your PTO advance. However, we do require you to submit proof of your current PTO balance to be eligible for an advance. We don't need to communicate with your employer directly to approve your request.
If you're interested in recurring, higher-value advances from Sorbet, you can introduce us to a member of your HR team to help us connect to your internal PTO tracking system. Once we're integrated through your employer, you (and all eligible employees) may be eligible for larger, ongoing PTO advances with better terms.
